Spring Style Agenda
My closet plans for the spring season and all the fresh pieces I'm eyeing.
As the seasonal shift unfolds, a sense of excitement is pulsing through me. I’ve been craving those beautiful mornings and sun-drenched afternoons when you suddenly realize it’s too warm for a coat. Or those rainy grey days when the air smells so fresh you can taste the raindrops. And with daylight savings here, we’ve found ourselves on the brink of a blooming spring season and that much closer to gorgeous weather.
In the pursuit of curating my staple wardrobe, I’ve been meticulously assembling a collection of new pieces, cultivating a very distinct vision for my style as we step into the warmer months ahead. While certain trends are calling, my sartorial allegiance lies predominantly with timeless pieces peppered with a few feminine accents. And, in stating the obvious, you know I’m an unwavering devotee to neutrals (I can’t help myself and I won’t apologize for it!). Their simplicity not only helps the process of getting dressed feel easy and effortless, but usually ensures a polished, timeless look.
As I’ve moved through my 30s, I’ve gravitated towards embracing a capsule wardrobe philosophy… an assemblage of enduring pieces designed to stick with me for many years. My inclination is in keeping things simple, especially when it comes to color—where I find solace in the elegance of muted tones, as mentioned. But where I love to play a bit more, is with texture. This season, I’m admiring the intricate charm of lace and floral-inspired details.
Since I’m not one to embrace pattern in my clothing, I am loving eyelet and embroidery to add a bit of interest to my looks. Woven leathers, suede, and the mesh shoe trend have also found a place in my repertoire.
In thinking through how to dress and elevate my style each season, I’ve fully embraced the art of moodboarding. Not only is this something I obviously do often for this space, but creating and actually using them to help me get dressed has been so helpful in refining my personal style. I feel such clarity for spring dressing and in curating an effortless, feminine, and classic wardrobe after marrying all these photos that caught my eye. I took things a step further with an extended vision below, with notes! Click photos to view them larger and zoom in.
To support my spring wardrobe endeavors, I’ve created a fully updated page on my ShopMy with everything above and much more! I’m planning to add to it all season long in case you’re ever feeling frisky with your paycheck and looking to shop my recommendations. Hope this helped inspire you a bit too!! Happy (almost) spring.
xx,
Natalie
