Florals, for Spring? Groundbreaking
Over 30 delicate flowery confections for the spring season.
Hello, readers. It’s been the dreariest of weeks here in Washington, DC—gray, chilly, and full to the brim. I’ve been riding the waves of a particularly busy stretch at work, the kind that leaves me crawling toward the couch each evening, utterly spent. The weather, with its constant drizzle and gloom, hasn’t helped much either. But as always, turning to my creative projects brings a quiet sort of joy.
I’m working on a design project for a client whose vision truly excites me, and of course, writing to you here on Substack continues to be such a bright spot. This little space has become a comforting ritual—a breath of fresh air—and I’m proud to have kept up a rhythm these past few weeks. I hope you’ve been enjoying it as much as I have.
🩶 If you enjoy my Substack, would you mind tapping the little heart at the bottom of this newsletter? It helps more than you know and only takes a second.
Thankfully, the skies seem to be shifting—today promises sunshine, and the warmth is inching its way back. I’ve got a few garden tours on the calendar (a sure way to coax me back into spring mode), and a friend is stopping by today to capture some apartment content. That gave me the nudge I needed to zhuzh things a bit—fresh flowers throughout, a little rearranging, a few seasonal touches pulled from storage.
I’ve been especially inspired by florals lately (go figure)—not just in bloom, but in the delicate motifs I’ve long collected. Think embroidered linens, metal candleholders shaped like petals, and airy cotton tops and dresses that whisper of warmer days. All the spring things, in other words. So I thought I’d share a little roundup of floral finds I’ve bookmarked—pieces that bring the outside in, or simply add that lovely, lighthearted touch. Here’s to warmer days, slower weekends, and the small joys of the season.
