Curio Cabinet No.10
Embroidered, woven closet staples, dreamy tablescape finds, chic interior furnishings and more.
The Curio Cabinet series is filled with beautiful pieces I’ve bookmarked lately for home and closet…a digital cabinet of curiosities, if you will.
Hello, friends. I hope your week has been good so far. It’s a gloomy Wednesday here in DC… the kind of day where the sky stays gray and everything feels a bit softer. As you read this, I’m likely tucked at my desk with a candle nearby, working by lamplight and rainfall. I’m leaning into the quiet, as this weather always offers a little focus for me personally. And there’s lots to get done.
By the way, I’ve been completely floored by the response to my recent post on chic, sea-inspired vintage jewelry. You all nearly cleared out the entire round-up and I’m so grateful for the support. It makes me so happy to know the collection resonated, and it’s certainly inspired me to dream up more themed curations in the future.
Today, I’m back with a fresh cabinet of curiosities, filled with beautiful finds and seasonal delights as summer quickly approaches. Lately, I’ve been craving whites, woven textures, and all things light and breezy. I hope you enjoy the browse.
I’m skipping this weekend’s post as the holiday is on the horizon, and I assume many of us will be blissfully relaxing and hopefully offline spending time with family and friends. Chat next week.
1. I’m always a sucker for a silver tray, and this nesting pair has such lovely detailing. Those delicate railed edges are beautifully unique.
2. Quite possibly one of the prettiest summer flats I’ve seen, these woven shoes are the perfect mix of sweet and refined.
3. I discovered this basket brand thanks to Kristin Hockman and immediately fell for this petite piece. Perfect for collecting blooms, a small farmers market haul, or simply displayed at home.
4. My white spring/summer top collection is extensive (and growing), but I couldn’t resist this interlock embroidered beauty.
5. I love the quiet statement of a lone pedestal in a room, and this one, with its simple lines and whitewashed finish, is just right.
6. A lace-trim shift dress that’s effortlessly elegant, easy to throw on, but with a bit of romance (and very Doen-esque).
Mind taking a second to tap the little heart at the bottom of this newsletter if you’re enjoying? It’s so helpful for me. Appreciate it!
7. I usually shy away from faux-aged pieces, but this metal candelabra is so convincing… with lovely patina and silhouette, it looks like a true vintage treasure.
8. For dinner party hosts or those who just enjoy a charming tablescape, these creamy embroidered placemats are such a thoughtful touch.
9. This rattan table lamp is high on my wishlist. I adore the subtle whitewash and its classic-meets-coastal silhouette.
10. You know my love for shells runs deep and this particular variety was new to me but feels like such an enchanting little discovery.
11. I’m always on the lookout for interesting tassels. They’re such a fun detail for curtains, doorknobs, or even bag accents. This brown pair is especially rich and grounding if you have a single window with curtains.
12. Since I lean toward wardrobe basics, accessories are where I love to play. These sculptural horn earrings feel just unique enough to stand out from my usual go-tos.
13. Woven and netted shoes are everywhere lately, but these ballet flats feel timeless. A perfect understated addition to summer looks.
14. A small handknotted bag that feels both playful and polished. Just the thing for a date night or summer gathering.
15. If I had the space, this chair would be mine in a heartbeat. I love everything from the rolled back to the tasseled skirt. Charming without being fussy.
